New Era

I find it poignantly poetic that as we make this transition from Winter to Spring how this time so beautifully parallels the global evolution of our collective consciousness. Nature is waking up; new growth pervading, blossoms quietly announcing themselves and offering us hope, and this hope so graciously forthcoming as if there was no other choice but to give, all the while asking for nothing in return. The effortless effort of regeneration.

As we emerge from this darkness, the winter of our lives, we are bearing witness to pure unconditional LOVE. We have, without giving it another thought, set our differences aside and have begun the process of deconstructing the walls we have erected which have kept us mired in the illusion of separation. We are making the journey from the head to the heart. Our egos have no room here at this pivotal juncture. Our shared being is too powerful as our hearts entrain to something much bigger than ourselves, but also to that which resides within each of us.

We are bearing witness to our shared being when we hear stories of doctors and nurses, foot soldiers, working day and night without sleep in their tireless effort to save lives or when volunteers rally together to construct makeshift hospitals. We bear witness when we stumble upon a child’s chalk drawing of a rainbow on the sidewalk and our hope is renewed or we receive a heartfelt smile from a stranger. We bear witness to this when a friend brings us groceries so that we may stay safe in our home or when someone we love compassionately listens to us as we cry for the suffering of the world. We find ourselves breaking open in our vulnerability as we painfully yet joyously give birth to this new era; one where our heart has more say than our head.

We may call this an ‘evolutionary process’ but perhaps it’s more accurate to suggest that we are simply remembering who we are. We ARE pure unconditional love. We feel resounding peace and ease being this expression.
